All because I wanted to have my ear's fixed......
It was April of 2015, I was getting ready to finally have my ears fixed.  I went for a physical, routine blood work was done, and boom.....the dreaded phone call the next day.  My doctor didn't understand how I was even walking if my labs were truly showing what they were showing.  My platelets were severely low, my iron was severely low, pretty much my blood work just looked bad.  I called Dr. Barstist (who has known me my entire life practically, and has been my hemotologist since I was a baby) and he said come see me.  He reviewed my labs, and just didn't think they could be right.  He repeated my labs and let me know that something was not right.  After a ton of tests, different medications, steriods, and bone marrow biopsies, the conclusion was MDS.  MDS stands for a range of blood disorders and thankfully mine was caught in time and before I started really suffering with any complications.  The answer to fixing me is a bone marrow transplant, and I am getting ready to have that done shortly.  I can't thank all my family and friends who have showed me nothing but LOVE and SUPPORT through all this mess.  I am strong and I know with the continued love and support, I will get through!
