Colleen Almgren

Colleen was found to have a large mass on her thyroid recently and will be undergoing surgery to remove the mass on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. Colleen is expected to spend one night in the hospital and likely a few weeks recovering. It is unclear if the mass is benign or malignant at this point so it is unknown if she will have her left thyroid removed as well as the right. That will be determined in surgery. Until the mass is diagnosed, it is unclear what further treatment may or may not be needed.

Colleen does not have family nearby however her work family has shown tremendous support and many are stepping up offering assistance in whatever manner they can. What a wonderful family this is!
