Hi there! This is Colleen's daughter, Courtney. I will be updating this page so that there is just one place to go to find information regarding my mom and her journey through breast cancer treatment.

First, a little about her story/the timeline of this journey so far... On January 14th, my mom found a lump in her left breast in the shower. By January 17th, doctors and testing confirmed she had breast cancer. On February 9th, she underwent surgery and had a mastectomy of her left breast. Unfortunately, cancer was also found in two lymph nodes. Doctors were originally hoping for no chemotherapy, but the lymph node involvement was a game-changer. As of today, February 27th, at her appointment with her oncologist, my mom found out that she will be undergoing chemotherapy, starting mid-March through July.

Despite her circumstances, my mom is still her usual, happy, funny self! She is loving her new pal, Alexa (her fave command is, "Alexa, play Bruno Mars" followed by, "Alexa, turn it up") as well as trying all of the delicious meals made by caring friends and dropped off as part of the meal train (let's be honest, cooking has never been a hobby of hers). While she has her share of sad or discouraged moments, her positive attitude and sense of humor have kept her spirits high and her morale strong. :)

***Speaking of the meal train, we will be extending it out further into the year, as my mom's treatment starts. Many people have asked about this, since the dates filled up somewhat quickly (you guys are GOOD), so I will post an updated & extended meal train soon.***

My mom has been absolutely overwhelmed by all of the love and support shown by family and friends, near and far. Words cannot do it justice. So, from the bottom of our hearts, we THANK YOU ALL!
