Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We want to share with everyone how Mom is doing and the journey God is taking her through. Whether you know her as Cin, Miss Cindy, Super Cindy, Cindizzle, or Cindy, we want you to be able to receive updates here throughout her recovery. We appreciate your words of encouragement, prayers and love during this time when it matters most.
On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, Mom experienced a seizure as result of a hemorrhagic stroke. Thankfully she was with us and she was able to receive immediate care at the ER. She spent time in ICU for several days and is now on bed rest at home for at least 4-6 weeks until the blood from the bleed absorbs and she can have a CT Angiogram to see where the stroke originated.
Mom's vision has been affected from the brain swelling, and she has trouble with dizziness, painful headaches and nausea. Mom is a fighter with a strong faith and spirit. Please pray for her strength as she begins the road of allowing her brain to heal through rest and adjusting to her "new normal" pace of living for now.
Our family feels incredibly thankful for the Lord's protection and provision throughout this time. We appreciate your prayers, concern, and friendship. Mom loves all of you so much and is thankful for each message. We are reading them to her. If you wish to visit with Mom, please check with Dad or me beforehand and limit visits to only a few minutes. Mom doesn't want to hurt feelings and loves to talk and entertain others, but it is difficult for her to do right now with her pain level. Thank you for your love, prayers, and understanding.
