Hi!!     I had no idea that when I went to the doctor they were going to tell me I that I have breast cancer.
I never had a mammogram until this summer.  I kept putting it off thinking that it was not a big deal because I did not feel any lumps and no one in my family has had cancer.  I thought I would never happen to me.  
On June 29th I went to my first mammogram.  They called me to come back for another mammogram.  I went back for mammogram on
 July 11 and had a biopsy on July 13.   On July 17 I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.  I had a MRI on July 20th which gave more     detail. 
Today July 25, I met with the surgeon.  The tumor is 1.5 to 3 cm in left breast.  The lymph nodes look good and are ok at this point which is a blessing.   I am going July 26 for an ultra sound of my lymph nodes to make sure they are ok.   I meet back with the surgeon on August 1. 


The surgeon suggested  a lumpectomy with radiation.  Before the lumpectomy, they will do treatments called Neoadjuvant Therapies which my shrink the tumor even smaller. 


My case will be presented at the Tumor Conference this week so other doctors such as Oncologist, Radiologist, etc and look and make sure we are going the best route. 


I am doing well.  I am scared and shocked but I am going to have a good mind set and I will kick this cancer!!!
