On March 29 I found a lump in my right breast. I called the next day, expecting to be told to wait b/c of COVID, but was scheduled for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound the following day. By Thursday the same week I'd had a biopsy, by the next Tuesday we had the results - Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. It's estrogen and progesterone positive, HER2 negative. We've caught it early and I consider myself incredibly blessed to have been able become a patient at MD Anderson. The initial posts in this journal are copies of emails I sent to family early on. We will use this page to share how things progress, and thank you all for your love, concern, and your desire to support me, Brian and the kids through this interesting twist in our story. Brian and I appreciate your support and words of encouragement.
