Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. On Friday while at the campsite Chris lost feeling in his hands and legs, and went to the ER. Soon after Chris had emergency cranium surgery due to a brain bleed. The following day he suffered a stroke. As of today (11/21) he is currently in the ICU of Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY. He currently is awake and responsive, with impaired motor and verbal skills.  The doctors are taking a wait and see approach with him. 

We ask for your patience and understanding.  Thank you to everyone who has brought meals, offered to cook, or requested to stop by. At this point our fridge is full, and we are trying not to overwhelm Chris with too many visitors. His doctors want to limit visitors (and brain stimulation) as he stabilizes post-stroke and starts his recovery. Moving forward we will update the "Ways to Help" page when we need anything.
