So, I found out this August that I have endometrial cancer. It was found in my uterus and I had a full hysterectomy on September 27, 2016. It was the first time I had ever been in the hospital, let alone having major surgery. With the surgery, 20 lymph nodes were also taken. There were cancer cells found in 6 of the lymph nodes. As a result, I will have to have chemotherapy and radiation. I'll have 6 sessions of chemo, three weeks apart. My first chemotherapy session is tomorrow, October 24th at Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Then, we will return to Florida where I'll continue my sessions at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida which is about 20 minutes from our home in Fort Lauderdale. Radiation treatment will follow, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it! I'm still trying to get used to the thought of having chemo!

Thanks to my supportive family and wonderful friends for cards, flowers gifts, phone calls, texts and words of wisdom from all of you!
