In early September I was feeling ill and landed in the emergency room with some chest pain. Scans and a few doctor appointments later would reveal the cause... A very aggressive form of Lymphoma decided to make an unwelcome visit in my back and chest. The pain was extreme and doctors began to move quickly to develop a game plan for how to tackle this diagnosis head on. The choice was clear, six rounds of intensive chemo therapy was ordered. family and I were told the chemo would be inpatient and I would be hospitalized for 3-4 days at a time every 21 days. Today Oct 6 marks the start of that first round. I am receiving treatment at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in the Twin Cities. Although it won't be an easy road at this point the medical staff is using immune targeted therapy and are hopeful for a good outcome. I hope this page will help keep everyone informed and I look forward to the day I'm cancer FREE!!!
