Cathy was admitted to Mercy Hospital Monday evening with Type A flu virus and Strep Pneumonia in both lungs. She was put on a ventilator and given some heavy duty antibiotics. It was a hard couple of days, but yesterday afternoon they took her off the ventilator and she had a great night last night breathing with only the nasal cannula. When we arrived at the hospital this morning she was sitting up in a chair and the nurses had already had her walking around her unit. She is doing great! Still has some recovering to do and strength to be built back up and will continue to have some flu tests done, but she is on her way!!!
Thank you all for your love and concern and mostly for your prayers! God is good, and He has had His healing hand on her and we are so grateful for that! She should be moved at some point today to a regular room or at the latest tomorrow morning. Because she is still weak and building her system back up, and because there is so much illness out there right now, we are asking for no visitors at this time. We will keep you apprised as to when she is ready for that....and she will be ready to see you all!!
