Cason was officially diagnosed with Chiari malformation, when he was 9 years old. He had been misdiagnosed with migraines around age 5 and it took him complaining and suffering for years, before they did an MRI and finally discovered the Chiari. He suffers on a daily basis with extreme headaches and has severe pain in the back of the head. He has intense pressure around the brain. He has neck pain, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, double vision and severe nausea. He throws-up on a regular basis and most days no medication helps.
