We've set this website up to let family and friends track Carol's journey back to health as she takes on colorectal cancer! We probably won't be updating daily, but will definitely update "big" events on an as-needed/as-available basis. She (and we) need and appreciate your prayers! THANK YOU for them and for your love, concern and interest! Now...if within the recommended guidelines :

https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/colorectal/

PLEASE get screened!! Colorectal cancer is one of the easiest cancers to screen for and treat if caught early! Carol has had a history of polyps and was on a 5 year maintenance program when her cancer was discovered. She entered the Colorectal Program at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston and the doctors have told us to expect her treatment regimen to consist of radiation first, then chemotherapy and then surgery if needed.

At the end of chemo is when she will be rechecked at how effective her treatment has been to date, and here is where we are praying for God to move in a mighty way as ~7% of patients go into remission at this point and don't need a surgical option! Prayers please and fingers and toes crossed that happens!

Thanks again for checking in and thanks once more for your prayers and concern!
