THANK YOU and WELCOME to our Caroline's CaringBridge site.  We will cherish each and every Visitor and each and every visit.  Our  3 year-old Caroline has begun a journey that has so many "unknowns" many of you will be familiar with.  We realize her story isn't unique or extraordinary and that many of you have your own similar personal stories.  We hope you will share your experiences with us as we move forward. Caroline's illness began to manifest itself outwardly only a very few weeks ago by the all too familiar tilting of her head.  On January 6 this new year, the MRI showed a tumor on the stem of her brain.  She was directly admitted as a result and was in surgery 8 hours two days later.  Today, January 15, she followed up at St. Jude for labs, assessments, registration and to get the biopsy results.  We were told Caroline's tumor was a Grade 3 Choroid Plexus Carcinoma.  Her doctor described it as approximately the size of Caroline's fist (slightly larger than a golf ball) and that it was "encapsulated".  He also explained that he was able to remove the entire tumor.  She had a more extensive MRI to include her spine the day before surgery and no other tumors were found.  A spinal tap is being scheduled to assess her spinal fluid. She will also be starting radiation and chemotherapy 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Personally, despite the malignant diagnoses, I will continue to pray for "total and complete healing" but for God's Grace, Mercy and strength to endure whatever His Will may be.  Obviously we are asking for your prayers.  In addition to your prayers, we ask that you would leave Caroline and her mother, Whitney, an encouraging entry when you visit.  As Caroline grows and learns to read soon it would be so wonderful for her to be able to see your entries of  encouragement and support and know there are still kind, loving people in this world.  This will in turn allow us to pray for your needs as well.  Lastly, I ask that you please bookmark and share this URL with as many Prayer Warriors as possible. We thank you in advance and look forward to meeting and hearing from you.  Please select the Well Wishes tab in the purple banner above and leave your entries.
