Carol Fischer Help Carol Fischer

On March 19, 2019 Carol’s son John (age 51) suffered a massive brain stem stroke. With only limited VA benefits and no rehab facility willing to take him, Carol committed to converting her home to care for John and hiring aides and therapists to help. Carol has sacrificed her retirement of friends, theater, trips, and playing bridge to be John’s 24 hour caregiver.

Many have asked how they can help.

As Carol’s daughter living in Georgia, I am hoping to find friends in her community willing to provide 2 dinners a week to help lighten the load for these first critical months of care. With some health problems of her own, I’m praying each day that my mom will stay healthy (and sane) and be able to provide my brother the help he needs.
