John is having surgery on Tuesday, March 9th. He is having his appendix, a foot of his colon (large intestine), and the related mesenteric lymph nodes removed. This is due to him having a mucinous neoplasm in his appendix that is the diameter of a pencil and is about 3.5 inches long.
