In early October 2016, Candace was being treated for what was thought to be pneumonia.  After two rounds of different antibiotics with no improvement, she was advised that she should get in for a CT scan of her chest and lungs.   The CT scan resulted in an immediate trip to the ER and being admitted to the hospital.  After 12 days in the hospital (4 of them in ICU) a collapsed lung, 3 procedures/minor surgeries, 1 major spinal surgery, 11 CT/MRI/Ultrasounds, uncountable number of pokes, dozens of blood clots throughout her body and 2 awful diagnoses including stage 4 lung cancer she was finally allowed to go home!!  Before chemo and radiation can be considered for treatment Candace will spend the next 6+ weeks in a neck brace with many restrictions while she is recovering from the spinal surgery.

We are thankful for all of you and couldn't make it through this without your help, support, love and prayers.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way and the mountains fall into
the heart of the sea" Psalm 46:1,2 NIV

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV
