Callen Brunker

On April 6th we went to Children's Mercy South where Callen was admitted for fluids. On Friday the 7th we were transported by ambulance to Children's Mercy downtown. Upon arrival there was a kidney specialized team ready. Callen had several small seizures that led to a very full busy day that ended with him being started on dialysis. He has been diagnosed with HUS disease which breaks down the red blood cells and attacks the kidneys. We have been told that this will be a roller coaster ride. We are blessed with so much love and support from family and friends through this time. - Jessica
