Cali Kovin

Hello and thank you for visiting! My name is Sarah (Cali's sister in law) and I will be assisting Chris and Cali in keeping their friends and family updated on Cali's journey. For those who are not yet aware, Cali has very recently been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. After months of unexplained pain and discomfort, Cali had an ultrasound that showed two large masses (15 cm each), one in each ovary. This led to an MRI which confirmed that the masses were tumors, most likely cancerous. After another very long and difficult week of waiting, Cali had a full hysterectomy last Tuesday where we learned the very devastating news that it was indeed cancer. Words a family is never prepared to hear. Although we are saddened by this very difficult news, we are also extremely hopeful, as is her doctor. Cali is surrounded by incredible faith that I fully expect will carry her through this.  

As you all know, Cali is one of the most genuine and caring people you'll ever meet. What a blessing it was when she became part of our family. I was so thrilled to inherit a sister that very soon became one of my very best friends. Her warm demeanor and kind spirit is truly one of a kind (not to mention she gives the best hugs in the world!). Cali is a brilliant musician and a dear friend to many. She is also a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin but her most treasured role is being a mother. Chris, Cali, and their children, along with the entire family will be standing by her in this fight. Let's all come together to shower Cali in love, support, faith, and hope!
