As many of you know, Randy was diagnosed with colon cancer just over a year ago. Soon after he had surgery to remove the tumor along with half his colon and various other things attached to the tumor. In May 2018 he started an aggressive chemotherapy treatment, completing that in November. The results of that treatment did not meet our hopes. Since then there have been new developments including entry into a clinical trial for the lung portion of the cancer which recently has not been managing that as well as expected. We have made the decision to transition to hospice care to help.
Randy enjoys every moment he can with me and our wonderfully beautiful grandchildren. They are the light of his life and mine. He gets so much joy just being around them.
As we continue this journey, please know this will be the best place to find out what is going on with Randy. Facebook doesn't necessarily post to all and may be missed. This also allows those interested to find out more directly. Please provide it to anyone that you may know would like to see the updates.
Randy is very tired and as you can imagine, so am I. Although I would love to continue to update you personally, that requires more time than I currently have and that I must now be spending with Randy and the family. We both continue to appreciate the love, support and prayers, please keep them coming.
