Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.Yesterday, June 21, Brody fell asleep in his car seat on his way home from Vacation Bible School.    He had a happy and wonderful morning being his adorable cute self.   Ashley laid him in his crib on his back with no blankets since it was warm and he was sleeping peacefully, it was about 12:30.   She went downstairs for lunch and we all chatted a little.  Ashley, Brody, Greg, Connie, Clara and Elly were all home.   Jacob and Isaac were at work.   She went up to check on him just an hour later and found him on his stomach, not breathing with some color changes.    Rolling over has been his new trick.   Immediately Greg went up and grabbed him, carried him down to the coffee table and immediately began CPR.   We scrambled to dial 911 and get Elly down to a neighbors.   The first responders came, along with the fire department and paramedics.    Brody was transferred to the 212 Emergency Center in Chaska.    Daddy Jacob arrived at the 212 center as quickly as he could, he was working in Eden Prairie.  At the 212 center he was further stabilized, a breathing tube was placed, his heart started beating and he was transferred to Children's Hospital Minneapolis and admitted to the PICU.   Grandpa Greg rode in the ambulance with him and we all followed by car.   In the PICU initial vital signs have been looking good.    His heart rate is good, he is maintaining his blood pressure without medication, he is having some urine output indicating kidney function, he is on a ventilator and is mildly sedated for comfort.   They have been closely monitoring his body temperature with hydro-blankets.   EEG monitoring is not showing any seizure activity which is good.  He does have reactive pupils but is not showing any purposeful response at the present time.  The next hours and days are critical.  We covet your prayers, the Lord can do all things.    "I love the LORD because he hears and answers my prayers.   Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath!   Death had its hands around my throat; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD: "Please, LORD, save me!"  How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours!    Psalm 116: 1-5
