BRAIN SURGERY! Yup. Super weird and pretty surprising. The short version? I've been having migraine like symptoms for nearly two years, but I'd been getting additional symptoms of severe vision problems and increased nausea with my migraines in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, We got everything diagnosed between Thanksgiving and Dec 15. Thought it was "just" some intracranial hypertension, doc got me in for an MRI to confirm and, NOPE! A tumor! Surgery on Tuesday, Dec 22, 11:30am at Moses Cone in Greensboro, NC.
Of all the operable brain tumors, it's the most operable: A 7cm meningioma smack behind my forehead. That means it's not actually *in* my brain, but growing on the "cellophane wrap" around it, squishing everything where it ought not be. So taking it out should be a relatively immediate relief—you know, besides the recovery from the procedure itself.
The Lord has preserved me for these 33 years and I trust He will preserve me through this crazy adventure as well! "He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."
