Welcome to Brenda's CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. I really appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. I want to keep everyone updated as things are happening, but it will be more manageable if i can do it in one central location.  I know that I will beat this horrible disease with the help and support of my friends and family.  I love you all!!
PLEASE KNOW, Even though I titled this page "Brenda's Battle" I know I am NOT ALONE in this fight.  


On January 10th I went in for an ultrasound and biopsy of a small lump that I found in my left breast.  The following day I received a phone call to say that the Biopsy tested positive for "Invasive Ductile Carcinoma".  How can your whole life change in one phone call??
The following morning, the 12th, I already had an appointment with a Breast Surgeon to discuss my prognosis.  (This can't be real)


The following weeks have been a  barrage of tests, doctors appointments and scans to get a better grasp of how this horrible disease is affecting my body. 
The doctors have decided that I will start with Chemo to be followed with a Mastectomy.  I have an appointment with my Oncologist on Thursday, January 26th.  I'm really hoping to get a lot of answers at that time.
