Brenda, Mom, Nana...no matter what you call her or how you know her...family, friend, neighbor, co-worker, foster parent, fellow laker, etc. She has touched a lot of lives. Brenda suffered a massive stroke on 4/26/17 and was rushed to UT hospital. The stroke resulted from 2 complete blockages in arteries in her neck supplying blood to the left side of her brain. It has left her completely paralyzed on her right side. Initially, she was on a respirator and feeding tube. She was taken off the respirator over the first weekend. She was moved from the neuro critical care unit to a regular room on Monday. We will try to update this site with current developments in Brenda's condition.
