Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Brad is an independent, extremely fit, family loving man who works so hard to give 100% at everything he does. He is an incredible husband, father, employee, friend, son, brother and person. Anyone who knows Brad knows he was an amazing baseball player at the University of Portland and his passion for sports continues on as a huge part of his life.

On November 25th life threw Brad a curve ball. He was hanging out at home and the TV went kind of foggy. He later awoke his wife because he had an awful headache and had an overall feeling of not being right. They went to the hospital and it turns out Brad has suffered from a modest stroke. There are many good signs at this point and doctors think his recovery will be good. But the road will be long and hard to get there. Anyone who knows Brad knows that he is a fighter and he will push himself hard to get back to 100%.

The family has great health insurance. They have a good amount of sick time. Both Brad and Kelly’s employer are very understanding. But still loss of income and higher costs are most likely a reality. Kelly receives a large amount of her income as a tutor and at this point that is unlikely to continue for the near future. A very significant portion of  Brad’s earnings are based on the fact that Brad works a very large amount of overtime and earns quarterly bonuses. The family is unsure of how this will translate to future paychecks. They are also unsure of how long Brad will be out of work, his ability to drive or if he can work in the same job again in the near future. Brad may also need some additional care and therapy once he is at home.

The family has already heard from many people. They are thankful for your prayers and support. Continued prayers, support and donations are appreciated. The Clem’s are overwhelmed by the community support already shown. Please keep your comments, encouragements and texts coming. They read every single one.💜
