Last Wednesday Bob Zimmerman called a friend to apologize because he couldn't fix her car because he wasn't feeling well. (He owns an automotive repair shop called Classic Motors in Naperville, IL) The friend was a nurse and after several phone calls his wife, Cyndi, took him to Edward Hospital where he was told he suffered a heart attack a few days before. He was steadily improving and looking forward to going home when he developed blood clots so he was put on a blood thinner and had to stay a few more days. He had another heart attack this Wednesday and he was put into a medically induced cooling coma. After 24 hours they were slowly warming him, but before he reached normal temperature he coded out again. On a good note this morning her recognized his name and was able to squeeze the nurse's hand.
