Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Dad was diagnosed December 2017 with Stage IV Hodgkins Lymphoma. Dad has always been a healthy and outgoing person so when he started getting sick it was a shock to us all. Dad starting feeling bad well before he was diagnosed. April he developed a cough and the Dr diagnosed his with walking pneumonia. After medicine it didn’t get better. Dad didn’t have a illness just a lingering cough and fatigue. In July he had his regular checkup and nothing was detected in his bloodwork. Dad then went back with the lingering cough in September/October. After being persistent December 1st the Dr did a chest X-ray. After seeing cloudyness on 2/3 of one side of his lung the Dr refered him to Duke regional for a Ct Scan and Biospy. After that we learned Dad had Hodgkins. He was then refered to the Duke Cancer Center where he gets all his treatments at. Dad had a Petscan where we found out that it was affecting all lymph nodes and had traveled the his bone marrow. Through it all dad is determined to rely on God and not get discouraged. One great thing is that even at Stage IV Hodgkins is the most treatable Cancer their is.  Now dad is scheduled to have 12 chemo treatments over the next 6 months.
