For about a year (maybe more) Bob has battled congestive heart failure. In September 2017 Bob spent several weeks in the hospital and rehab center. His heart was operating at 25% of capacity (75% or more is normal). On 9/19/17 Bob was released from rehab even though he was very weak. On 9/20/17 the home health nurse visited and was concerned that Bob was dehydrated and made an appointment with Bob's primary care doctor,

At the doctor's office, Bob and Karen (wife of 60 years), with the concurrence of the doctor, made the decision to enroll in Hospice care and spend his remaining time at home. Although is saddens us to think about it, we will honor Bob's request that no extraordinary measures be taken to extend his life.

Bob loves visits from friends, however he is usually sound asleep by 9:00 pm so please come before then.
