In December 2016, Fr. Bob was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that has also spread in his brain and lymph nodes in very small lesions. A team of gifted and devoted doctors have assembled around Fr. Bob to oversee his care during the course of his treatment. His doctors will attend all medical appointments with him, providing not only transportation but their expert opinions. They are very optimistic about his recovery and Fr. Bob is in great spirits. He is committed to fighting his illnesses and coming out even stronger.
Fr. Bob will continue to serve as Pastor of St. Benedict Parish and St. John Bosco Catholic School. He is extremely grateful for the outpouring of concern from community members during this difficult time. So he will not be overwhelmed, please use this web page to share your words of support and encouragement with him, rather than contacting him directly. During his path to recovery, we will occasionally post information on ways you can help if you so choose. For now, he asks for only one thing: your prayers.
