Bill has been diagnosed with CJD (Don't be afraid to Google it, I had to). We are told it is the equivalent to Mad Cow Disease in humans. It has come on very quickly and he is rapidly declining. Unfortunately, he will only continue to get worse. There is no prevention or cure for this disease and the lifespan is very short. He will only have a few more months with us. Please feel free to share your stories here as Bill was full of stories, but didn't always share them. As his daughter, I don't know a lot about when dad was a child, so if you have any of those stories I would love to hear them.

So far, dad is still in there mentally, but he cannot speak well and often not at all. I know he understands what we say to him, but he struggles to respond. I would love to read everyone's well wishes and stories to him to brighten his day, so absolutely post away.
