Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, prayers, and words of hope and encouragement.
As you might know, our daughter Bella Mae Belanger was born on May 1, 2017 at 6:46am. She was a seemingly healthy baby--latching on well, telling us she didn't like her hands swaddled inside the swaddle :), and just being an adorable newborn. In the early morning of May 3rd, just hours before we were set to take our princess home, Bella was rushed to the NICU due to her coloring and loss of strength. We've been here since, completely overwhelmed by the strength and resiliency of little Bella, as she has undergone dozens of tests. The fabulous doctors at Brigham & Womens and Children's continue to keep us updated on their progress in diagnosing Bella. So far, they believe she has an extremely rare metabolic disorder. They will continue to work to find out what it is specifically and how we can treat Bella. Meantime, we are showering her with love and support, she has been a trooper. Bella will be in the Brigham NICU indefinitely but as we learn information, we will continue to post updates. We've been blessed to receive many messages and inquiries and just want to apologize for tardy responses or even the occasional non-response. It's been a very difficult time. We will continue to stay positive! Thanks for sending positive vibes her way.
