Barry Hood

Barry has suffered with diabetes since he was 11 years old. When he found out he had kidney failure a few years ago, doctors put him on dialysis. He became a candidate for a kidney and pancreas transplant, but was heart broken when, on two separate occasions, the organs turned out to be no good. On Tuesday, January 16,  2018, Barry received his final call from UVA announcing they had the organs and they looked great. He went in for surgery at approximately 1AM on Wednesday January 17, 2018 and was in surgery for about 4 and 1/2 hours. He now has a new pancreas and kidney and no longer needs dialysis or insulin! God has been and continues to be so good! Thank you all for your prayers and support. Make sure to share support here so BJ can know how much we love him.
