Barbara Pearson Suck it Cancer!

First post: Sep 19, 2017
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
Barb has Acute Myeloid Leukemia, She has been fighting this stupid disease since August of 2016. At that time she was living in Idaho Falls and working at a job she really loved.  When she was diagnosed she decided it would be best to move to Spokane with her son and his family.  She underwent extensive Chemo and knocked that treatment out of the park.  She was deemed cancer free at that time, BUT we knew that that ugly cancer would rear it's ugly head again so Barb decided to get a bone marrrow transplant.  In order to do that she would have to move to Seattle with a 24 hour caregiver (Brooke, her daughter held this position for 3 months and Christie, her daughter in law is currently)  So off she went on May 31st 2017.  She has had a few set backs and will have to regain some strength (with her being a fighter will be sooner than later) before she will be able to get the transplant.  It has been a long process and She remains confident and strong during all the poking and prodding.
Thanks to all for your support and prayers.
