This is Sara, Barb's daughter, I will be posting on this site as a way to keep people updated on my mother's journey with cancer. Mom was taken to St Mary's in Rochester on Thursday morning, March 26th for severe leg pain and weakness. After several tests she was admitted for a blood clot in her lung and leg, a hemangioma of the liver and an enlarged gallbladder with stones. Because of these times with COVID 19 she was tested for that as well. Several days and tests later we were told on Thursday, April 2nd that they found cancerous cells in her abdomen most likely originating from the gallbladder. Now we set out on this journey to support her as she is faced with so many unknowns. She has many "Barbieguards" on her side and she appreciates the support! Of course she wishes she could reach out to everyone but this platform seems manageable for now. In time I'm sure she will chat with all of you that so miss your coffee dates or lunches with Barb!
