Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Barbara has recently been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that has spread to the lungs and bone. She has been referred for hospice care, and is currently receiving this care in her home in Lees Summit. Her husband Paul is also in hospice care for dementia and mobility issues. While other plans are under consideration, your help could include: Sending your notes of encouragement and prayer Signing up to send meal(s) Signing up to help with house cleaning Signing up to help with grocery or other shopping
In February, 2021 Barbara was experiencing significant pain in her hip. On March 2, 2021, she went to Saint Lukes East Hospital in Lees Summit and was diagnosed with a fracture in her hip, and admitted for hip replacement surgery. During her hospitalization, the doctors discovered several masses in both lungs and they sent bone fragments from her surgery to the lab for testing. On March 10th, the oncologist reported that the results of the bone testing revealed that cancer had spread to the bone. Barbara's faith is solid and she appreciates phone calls, visits and of course your prayers. If you can help with any other needs, she will be grateful.
