Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep Derek and Angie's family and friends updated in one place. During Angie's ultrasound a few weeks ago, her doctor noticed there was fluid around the baby's right lung. She was sent to a specialist the same day for additional testing as well as a higher level ultrasound to determine the next step. Yesterday, Angie had a follow up doctor appointment and ultrasound - due to the fluid in the baby's lung increasing and pre-term labor contractions, her doctor decided to admit her to the hospital yesterday afternoon. She is now scheduled for a C-Section tomorrow morning (Friday) at 10am so the fluid in the lung can be dealt with as soon as possible. Derek and Angie appreciate your love and support during this critical time, as well as your respect for their need to focus all of their attention on their baby in the days ahead.
