Avery was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy a little over three years ago. In that short span of time her condition has gotten so severe that she will require open heart surgery. Avery inherited this disease genetically from her maternal side of the family. She will be having surgery at Mayo Clinic in MN on Tuesday, November 20.
