Monday, July 12th, Avaya suddenly became lethargic and unresponsive. She was transported to the local emergency room and then flown to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. Avaya is currently sedated and resting. Once she is medically stable, she will have an MRI to hopefully give the medical team and Avaya’s family some answers. The next 24-72 hours will be extremely critical. At this time we do not have any answers. We will meet with the neuro team in a few hours. I will be using this page as a means of communication with family and friends and will update as needed. Please respect that this is a very trying time for the family, we haven’t had much sleep, and answering personal texts and messages can be difficult. I’ve also started a GoFundMe for Avaya and Holly.
