Art Knapp

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  It was just another open enrollment for our insurance and we needed to do the BioMetrics for my employer to contribute to our HSA...We both had to see a PCP to have our paperwork signed. Art's Dr. Suggested he have some extra blood work done~no problem he is a very healthy man. Right? Two days after he had his blood work done we got the phone call that put us into a flurry of Dr appointments, biopsy and more tests. The results of those tests confirmed that Art has cancer. To say we were in shock in an understatement. How could he have cancer? He is healthy, he works hard to be healthy...Cancer doesn't care how healthy or fit a person is.  Well this cancer doesn't know Art! On Tuesday the 10th of January we will be going to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Atlanta Georgia for a second opinion and to pursue aggressive treatment to whip this cancers butt. As he steps into the ring for the fight of his life I will do my best to keep you all updated on his progress.  Most of all please keep us in your prayers.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. 6  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. 
We claimed this scripture when we got married in April of 1985. It has helped us through some dark and difficult times, but God has always been faithful and He will continue to direct our paths. We have been so blessed by the outpouring of love, encouragement and prayer from our family, friends, co-workers and strangers.
