Aria was taken and AI DuPont with a distended stomach that grew abnormally large quite quickly from Halloween to November 2nd. We had a regularly scheduled Pediatrician appointment on November 2nd and asked the pediatrician about it and they advised us that it was more than likely gas build up in her abdomen and she would need help relieving the pressure, so we went to AI DuPont that night. The ER staff at AI immediately recognized there was a more serious problem and began testing her for anything they could with an x-ray, ultra sound and finally an MRI. The next day Aria was diagnosed with a Neuroblastoma and it was suggested that her chemotherapy begin as quickly as possible to stop the enlargement of her liver any further. We began chemo on Friday, November 4th which she will receive three days in a row every 21 days until her tumor is benign or gone.
