Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

April was diagnosed July of 2017 with stage 4 lung cancer.   At that time, the cancer was metastasized, and was at that time discovered in her left lung, bones, spine and lymph nodes.   April made the decision to try to beat the cancer through treatment over the next several months.  In October of 2017 April let her children know that what she was dealing with was more serious than she had anticipated.  Still not wanting to concern her friends and family, April quietly went through treatment until a month or so ago when she started experiencing complications and was in and out of the hospital.  In late February, April was admitted to Sanford in Perham with some difficulty swallowing and breathing.  In early March she was able to return home for a few days before having to go back for some pain she was experiencing.  It was discovered at that time that she had developed some infections, which ultimately resulted in her being admitted again.

After a series of complications since, April is currently on a respirator in Fargo surrounded by friends and family.  She is expected to be evaluated in the morning (3/26) as doctors will be able to get a better idea of her condition.  The next 12 hours are expected to be critical and we are hopeful that we will be greeted by good news in the morning.

We all appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes.

Love,
 April's Family.
