Wednesday, I received the diagnosis for my stomach issues … I have Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer … I don’t mind saying this blew me out of the water, took my breath away and shock hit me like a wave. I could see that the Dr was talking to me but it was like I wasn’t there, but I was. I then heard her say Do you have any questions? Questions? I don’t remember my name, how would I have any questions? I’ve opted to have chemo over the next few weeks, then surgery. I will probably lose my hair, HAIR?! Who cares about hair?!?! Yes I know some women are worried about that, but not this one.
I told the Dr I’m very Blessed! I’m 75 years old, the only major challenges health wise have been my Allergies. My blood pressure is normal, my cholesterol is normal, I don’t have Diabetes, my Colon is clear, my Pancreas is clear … so if this is going to be my Health Challenge, I intend to Kick Cancer’s Ass.
