Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Ann Dawson got sick on Wednesday November 30. She went to the ER and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She then was moved to Northeast Hospital. The dr ordered a CT scan with IV contrast dye and that's when they discovered her pancreas was 80% necrotic (dead). She was moved to ICU at northeast. Once the inflamed pancreas began to affect other organs the family asked for a transfer to CMC Main. The inflammation from the pancreas began causing severe abdominal pressure which caused an acute kidney injury. This in turn led to respiratory distress. She is now in ICU on a ventilator so her body can rest and heal. The family has asked for no visitors at this time. Thank you for continued prayers.
