Anna Northrop

Hey everyone! This is Anna's oldest daughter, Cheyanne. Between my dad, my siblings, and I, we have been trying to keep everyone as updated about my mom as possible. You can imagine how difficult that has been due to me just finishing up my second year of college, my dad's work, and my younger sibling's still in school. We have decided this is the best way to make sure our loved ones know what is going on!


Long story short, Anna has brain cancer. It started as signs of a stoke, to a MRI confirming a brain tumor, and to what we know now, it is either grade 3 or 4 glioma. She had a biopsy of the tumor on Thursday, May 10th. We still have not received the full pathology report, but her team of AMAZING doctors meets on Monday, May 21st at what they call "Tumor Board" to discuss the exact steps moving forward, which may or may not include radiation, along with chemotherapy and possible surgery. We meet with the radiation oncologist on Friday, May 17th, which will most likely be the beginning of radiation treatments.


As for my mom, she is feeling pretty good. Of course, this would be a shock to anyone, but she has prayed about it, as sees it as a gift from God to be able to share her testimony and bring people to Christ. She has an extremely positive attitude and has promised all of us that she is going to be strong and continue to fight. Many people have said what an amazing and incredible outlook she has on this, but to me, that is just my normal mom; amazing and incredible. 


I will try to keep the website as updated as possible. My mom keeps saying how wonderful it is to have such a great support system behind her. We as a family appreciate that so much. As of right now, the only thing we need is prayers. As many prayers as possible.
