I was given the news that I had breast cancer on Wednesday, August 9th. I received my formal diagnosis of Her2 positive / estrogen receptor negative breast cancer on Friday, August 11th. It has been a whirlwind of tests, doctor visits, and procedures, including my first Chemotherapy treatment Thursday, August 17th. Our spirits are high. We have been filled with encouragement, support, and tremendous love. We have been immersed in prayer and kindness, which has been a truly heartwhelming experience. As we continue this journey we hope that people will keep my recovery, my family, and my medical team in your thoughts and prayers.
