My mom and your favorite bus driver, Angela Fracker, has recently been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of endometrial cancer - high grade serous carcinoma. Her treatment starts with surgery on November 13th ( she will be in the hospital for a week) and chemo about 6 weeks later. My mom will be working up to the day before surgery and then another great bus driver will be stepping in until she is able to return next year.
Many of you know my dad, Al Fracker, as the man of all trades -and that he is! He recently started a position in ROTC for a school in Jefferson and will be working full time while managing the household and caring for my mom. My sister is flying in from Texas for the week my mom is having surgery to rotate hospital stay with me.
Very sweet friends asked if they could set up a caringbridge page as a way to keep you informed with her progress. We agreed to this page as a way to keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming in for my precious mom.
Although things in life don't always make sense, we firmly believe that through every situation God is in control and there is no need too big for Him. So our family is mentally preparing to kick cancer in the behind with my mom. Most of you know that she is one tough cookie, so we know who is winning this fight ;)
We hope you find encouragement and hope through my mom's journey. My mom is the master mind and photographer behind all the funny and spirited pictures you see on facebook. She has always been the strong one in the family (a bit strong willed too!) and because of her strength we are able to be stronger for her during this confusing time. Thank you for loving my parents so much! ❤
