Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

My story begins.....
I wanted to create this website to keep everyone updated on my journey through my battle with breast cancer.October 30, 2018, I went to my annual mammogram appointment at Wake Radiology. I was called back to go in on November 20, to have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. After being tested for 2 hours, the Radiologist came back in and told me that I needed to have some biopsies done. Biopsies were done November 29, and on December 3rd, my life was changed forever.....I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. As the week progressed, I went through many emotions and started to re-evaluate my life. I am sure that this is a normal process for someone who has just been told they have cancer, however, the more I thought about it the more I remembered...I have never been "normal." :)I am scheduled for surgery on December 28th and will begin chemo around January 14, 2019. I will keep up with this website as much as I can through this journey and plan to communicate here instead of on social media. This is not a private website so feel free to share the link with anyone who knows me and would like to keep up with my progress. :) Everyone is asking me and my family "what do you need?" If you are reading this....you have already given us what we need the most right now - your time, your thoughts and prayers. Prayers are everything. In some way, shape or form, you have come into mine and/or my family's lives somewhere along our journey- thank you. This is and will be difficult...but somehow, through the Grace of God, I just know that in the end of the rough days ahead this too will turn out to be a blessing. :)
