On Sunday, March 6th, 2016, Amber suffered an Arteriovenous malformation or AVM brain bleed. It's something she was born with that could have happened at anytime. We are grateful that it happened when she was with an adult who was paying attention and who recognized Amber's condition as being serious. While swimming at a friend's birthday, Amber was complaining about her right side arm and leg tingling and feeling numb- she got out of the pool and had a seizure. She was subsequently admitted to CHOC where she was diagnosed with the bleed.
