Amanda Scott

On the morning of December 9, 2016; Amanda, Anajreana, Tateana and Anastasia's lives changed forever. 

A fire started in the kitchen of their home in Alexandria, MN. The girls, along with their step brother and a family friend were lucky enough to escape, unharmed, and get to the neighbors and call 911.  Amanda however wasn't as fortunate; while the they waited for the Emergency Response Personnel, the girls wondered if their mommy was ok.  Amanda was still inside, and her whereabouts were unknown. The Firefighters found her on the lower level of her home, unresponsive and with visible burns, but she was alive. 

Immediately Amanda was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), in Minneapolis, where she remains. 
She has 3rd Degree Burns on her chest, and 2nd Degree on the remainder of her body.  She is currently sedated, and has been since the accident. 

Amanda has a LONG road ahead of her, and faces many, many skin grafts and surgeries.

Please continue to keep Amanda and her 3 girls in her your thoughts and prayers. Especially around the holidays. Christmas time is a time to be spent with family, and unfortunately these 3 beautiful girls won't be able to spend it with their mommy.  The community of Alexandria has been very supportive, and we are so grateful for that. 

We will be updating this site as often as possible to keep everyone up to date on Amanda's condition, and her road to recovery.
