Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, Friend - 91 years has many stories to tell through the eyes and mouths of many people. Today we would like to share some of Alvin's story.  As many of you know Alvin was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple years ago then superficial bladder cancer June 6, 2015.  2015 became a difficult year after rounds of chemo, tests, scans and hospital visits.   In the spring of 2016 the cancer in the bladder became more invasive.  In May it was determined to not do any more cancer treatments but to take it one day at a time and enjoy each day for all it has to offer.   Summer has been a mixture of good days and not so good days.  As of today, Alvin's cancer continues to advance.  Hospice came on board July 26th to monitor his cares.  He is weaker and is using a walker to get around ,  his naps are increasing as are the pain medications.  Alvin is a man of great faith so we ask that you would please keep him in your prayers for peace, comfort and strength  as he continues this journey.
