Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your prayers, support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

It all started about four weeks ago. Allison started having back pain that radiated from her left shoulder blade into armpit down through her left breast into her rib cage. The burning pain was pretty significant, felt like she was a fire. She didn't know if She was having muscle spasms or what so she sought chiropractic care. He adjusted her a few times, told her to ice it and if She experienced any further pain to follow up with either ER and/or primary.
She went  to ER due to chest pain shorty after the last chiro appointment. Followed up with primary Doctor Who did a EKG and a chest x-ray both results came back fine. She was sent home.
Her pain continued over the weekend, she followed up with chiropractor April 18th, he barely applied pressure and she was instantly in tears. He encouraged to follow up with her primary again, to request imaging. - to see what could possibly be producing pain. Three MRIs later took place and found multiple masses along her spinal cord.
It was then she was referred to Abbott North Western in Minneapolis to meet with a neuro surgical team to discuss a plan of action. Long story short she was schedule Monday May, 2nd for a CT guided biopsy, but was unable to perform biopsy due to extremely low platelet count. Due to Doctor reviewing blood work they admitted her for further observation, come to find she needed a bone marrow biopsy the next day. Tuesday May 3rd, Allison and her husband Levi, were told that her diagnosis was Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
